Gingerbread Days

December always welcomes new and exciting ideas.
We are well into our alphabet with Handwriting and Open Court. The students are beginning to hear the different sounds in short vowel words. We are perfecting our skills in rhyming as well as seeing the connection with rhymes to word families.
Each classroom has so many varities of gingerbread houses, crafts and dramatic play area that just make you want to eat something sweet!!!
In Math, we are still working on counting and number concepts. It is all really coming together.
